As of 1st July 2017, 

  • Shared parental leave entitlement has increased  from one week to four weeks.
  • Adoption leave for mothers has increased from four weeks to twelve weeks. Also, you can no longer claim reimbursements for the first four weeks of adoption leave for the first two children adopted.
  • Re-employment age ceiling has increased from 65 to 67 years.
